The Motion of a Title Sequence
I have always enjoyed motion design, so I wanted to start a personal project to continue enhancing my skills. One of my favorite shows, Jane the Virgin, did not have a full title sequence. I decided to create one based on the show.
Goal:
Produce a title sequence for Jane the Virgin by using vector art relating to the show.
Tools:
Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator.
Reality to vectors:
I chose locations based on characters to use as references for the vectors. In addition, there are palm trees and beach scenery to represent the fact that the show takes place in Miami. I added a white flower in the sky because the white flowers play a big role in the show. It’s a symbol of the main character, Jane.
Presenting My Gratitude
My grandpa helped me get to college and pursue my dreams. He impacted my life and helped shape me into the person I am today. I enjoy visiting him whenever he is in town, so I wanted to do something to show my appreciation for him being in my life.
Goal:
Produce a thank you video showcasing his role in my life since I was born.
Tools:
Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
Baby Steps:
All the images were taken from various stages of my life. I wanted to represent my growth as a person by showing the stages of me growing up. I ended on my graduation picture as the finale to show the impact he has on my life.
Conclusion:
I love motion design, so I enjoyed working on these projects for causes I care about. These are my favorite projects I ever made.
Knowledge Gained:
I improved my motion design skills while illustrating and retouching pictures. I hope to work on more motion design in my career.
